How To Say It’s Hard To – in Korean
-기 어려워요
[gi eoryeowoyo]
It’s hard to –
Basic form : -기 어렵다
Informal non-honorific(반말) form : -기 어려워
Negative form : -기 안어려워요
You can use -기 conjugation to say ‘to infinitive’. -기 is not 100% same to to to infinitive in English. It’s pretty similar with the phrase ‘it’s (adjective) to do something’. Of course, you can switch a verb to others like 쉬워요(easy), 좋아요(good) to make a new phrase.
어렵다 doesn’t have a meaning ‘firm’. It only means difficult in Korean.
발음하기 어려워요
[baleum-hagi eoryeowoyo]
It’s hard to pronounce
Another Way To Say It’s Hard To – in Korean
-는 거 어려워요
[neun geo eoryeowoyo]
Verb+ing is hard
You can use ‘-는 거 어려워요’ too. It’s same to ‘(gerund) is hard’ like ‘studying Korean is hard’. In Korean grammar, -기 어려워요 and 는 거 어려워요 are pretty same to use. There is no big difference between them.
