How To Say Help Me in Korean
도와주세요
[dowa-juseyo]
Help me
Basic form : 도와주다
반말(informal non-honorific) form : 도와줘
Negative form with 해요 speech style : 도와주지 마세요
The basic form of 도와주세요 is 도와주다 which means ‘give a help’ in Korean. 도와주세요 is a combination of 2 words. ‘돕다(help)’ and ‘주다(give)’. So, 도와주다 means ‘give a help (to someone)’.
주세요 conjugation makes the verb into an polite asking. It’s same to ‘would you please do’. I know, it doesn’t sound urgent much. But, I’m telling it’s much better to use 주세요 conjugation no matter what situation it is.
Help me (verb + ing)
It’s really easy to say ‘help me with something’ or ‘help me to do something’ in Korean. You just need to add ‘root는 거’ before ‘도와주세요’ or you can simply add what you need help for.

-세요 Ending
-세요 ending used to ask or order someone to do something in a very polite way. You must know 세요 ending because it’s super essential for Korean grammar. It’s very recommended to use it every time when you need to ask someone to something.
세요 ending is higher honorific than 요 ending. You probably learned almost Korean phrases based on ‘요 ending’. That’s great because 세요 is an expanded ending based on ‘요 ending’. It’s not completely new.
